Adventures in Pictures: The Pink Scooter

This is Rox’s pink scooter. It was given to him as a hand me down when he was a toddler. And it’s currently his only set of wheels, since his bike was stolen right after we moved to our new neighborhood. Who would steel a baby bike on training wheels you ask? Ass-holes.

We moved into this fabulous area earlier this summer and had yet to scope out our new backyard on foot. So right after breakfast, I decided to pack the baby in the Becco, slip on my Campers and take Rox, his energy and his scooter on a site seeing neighborhood adventure.
I  also gave Rox key words of the day- “curious” and “intriguing” in which we discussed and pointed out things that related, to our curious journey.  Our walk came to a halt at a cute outside Greek cafe where Rox made a friend, and sister finally woke up interested in chasing pigeons.
You should know that I rein from the state where everything is bigger, and this year my city was ranked the #1 coolest city in the nation by Forbes. I have to admit its pretty damn awesome!
Don’t be jealous. I snapped some pics to include you in our adventure. And whether you live in an urban city like we do or in a rural suburb- beauty is all around us and there is  much to learn from our surroundings! You just have to create the adventure!

Enjoy! Des.

Avy's Lavish Birthday.

This past week was The Princess' first birthday. And for the past 2 weeks prior to it I gave Martha Stewart a run for her money making every damned thing I could from scratch. A stress inducing experience with so many rewards once I was able to shake my groove thing at the end result. Kind of like labor, which seems fitting since it after all was my BIRTHday, which in itself is a whole other story. =)
